San Diego’s Iconic Waterfront Cafe

We have been so fortunate to call Seaport Village home for almost 40 years!

Our two founders D.E. "Butch" Bucciarelli and Louis A. "Luigi" Rezzonico, Jr. started on this journey in 1978... Pier Cafe was born out of a passion to serve our community, and it has remained so after all of these years - a family venture of three family-owned restaurants here in the Village.

Luigi and Butch both served our country's military, and it has continued to be our goal to support the military over the years. It is our honor to support our active military by providing a 10% discount off every bill, every day. Thank you for your service.

We know the nostalgia surrounding our restaurant and the Village is special to so many of you, and we look forward to seeing you HERE SOON!

Our sister restaurants here in San Diego's Seaport Village: Edgewater Grill and Harbor House.

Visitor-Friendly

We could call you a "tourist," and you might just be, but we prefer the word visitor or guest. SO many of our visitors have become FRIENDS... And here's why.

Locally-Minded

While we are in a highly visited area of San Diego, we have tons of regulars! Our regulars tell us they return time-after-time because of our stellar service, dog-friendly front deck, delicious menu, and unbeatable views. There is a nostalgia that natives and transplants alike appreciate about our unique spot on the water.

San Diego Event Spot

San Diego is rich with tradition, and several of them can be viewed from right here. The Parade of Lights happens the second and third Sunday nights in December. Each participating boat decorates it to the theme and they cruise right by our windows! We serve a special menu each year, and reservations are absolutely necessary (as you can imagine) with this great opportunity.
